INITIAL CONSULTATION

  • Document and questionnaire review (evaluation(s) IEP or 504 Plan, SAT/ACT test scores, transcripts, etc. - questionnaires will be provided parents and students to complete prior to meeting) 

  • 1.5 hour meeting with student and family

  • Discussion regarding learning profile, post-secondary goals, high school record, extracurricular activities and hobbies, standardized testing (SAT/ACT)

  • Discussion/education regarding supports available in college and advise if should be considered

  • General college selection strategy discussed

  • College admission process and timeline explained

  • Information specific to student athletes, financial aid or other considerations discussed if applicable

FULL YEAR CONSULTING

  • All of the above (consultation fee waived if engaging in on-going consultation)

  • Two, in-person meetings per year - more can be arranged as needed

  • Unlimited phone and email contact

  • College list created while taking into consideration student's learning profile, interests, goals - reach, 'just right' and likely schools included on the list. The list will be refined over time based on feedback from the student and parents once they have done their own research and campus visits

  • Timetable for the application process discussed and shared (with consideration of application deadlines: Early Action, Early Decision and Regular Decision deadlines)

  • College essay support

  • College interview tips 

  • Financial aid process reviewed as needed and resources shared

** Families who do not wish to engage in on-going consulting may wish to book an additional consultation later in the year, which is an option available to them.  Each additional consultation will cost $500. An additional consultation might include the creation of a college list that takes the student's strengths, interests, academic ability and high school record into account.

COLLEGE ESSAY

  • College essay development support from the brainstorm and outlining process through to a polished essay. This would include in-person meetings as needed and unlimited review/commenting/support via Google Docs

TUTORING AND LIFE COACHING SESSIONS

  • One hour tutoring or life coaching sessions are available for high school and college students who would benefit from further academic support or help with strengthening and applying executive functions skills and strategies in order to experience greater success.​​

  • For college students, this includes 1-2 in-person visits to their college to further promote campus and community integration, efficient schedule development, goal identification and collaboration with campus resources.

  • Price based on services rendered and number of weekly appointments secured.

TRANSITION ASSESSMENTS

  • Assessments administered

  • Results summarized in writing and discussed in a parent meeting

  • Goals and suggestions reviewed
